Lidiya Yudina

I am currently working as a predoctoral researcher student at ICRA (https://icra.cat/en/), specializing in environmental science and electrochemistry. My research focuses on the selective electrochemical separation and recovery of critical and rare metals from wastewater resources using specially designed monolithic electrodes.

In 2024, I graduated with honors from Novosibirsk State University (https://english.nsu.ru/), one of Russia’s leading universities, with a degree in Materials Science. During my research at the Institute of Solid State Chemistry and Mechanochemistry, I focused on discovering alternative sources of rare earth elements and created novel mechanochemically modified materials derived from brown coal fly ash.

Through my research, I have had the opportunity to present my work at several international conferences. Notably, I was awarded first place for my oral presentation at the 3rd International Conference on Rare Earth Elements (RAREMET-2024) in Moscow, Russia. Additionally, I received a travel grant from the International Humic Substances Society (IHSS), which enabled me to present my findings at IHSS conference in Rimini, Italy.
